Winning Ticket (ウイニングチケット, Uiningu Chiketto) is a character in Uma Musume: Pretty Derby.

Personality[]

An honest, straightforward horse girl who’s full of energy. She has a strong tendency toward deep emotion. She possesses an indomitable spirit and will stand back up more times than a persistent weed. Her dream is to obtain glory by taking control of the Japanese derby. She will break out in hives when under great stress or nervousness.

Winning Ticket is a horse girl who has short black hair and has a lime green sidelock with an ear decoration located on her right ear. She has red eyes.

Masato Shibata had run the Derby 18 times, despite he was one of top jockeys, he couldn't easily win the Derby.

Winning Ticket is a racehorse in 1990s. He shared 1993 Classic Triple Crown with Narita Taishin and Biwa Hayahide, known as BNW. His jockey Masato Shibata won the Derby after 19 tries riding him, and he became the very "winning ticket" as his name indicates.

  • His groom Hisoshi Shimaaki nicknamed him Tickezou.
  • He sufferes from hives when he gets nervous, as discribed in Uma Musume.
  • Until February 2023, Winning Ticket (born in 1990) was second oldest living horse in Uma Musume cast. The oldest one is Nice Nature (born in 1988).
    • After the passing of Legacy World, Ticket had been the oldest living horse who won G1 race in Japan.
    • Taishin and Hayahide passed in 2020. He lived the longest in BNW.
  • His great-granddaughter Lei Papale won 2021 Osaka Hai. This is the first G1 win in his descendants.
  • After he retired a stallion work, he moved to Urakawa Yushun Village AERU, and had lived until he passed away due to a colic in February 2023.
  • His bronze statue is in Shin Hidaka Town, Hokkaido, where he was born.
